This conduction type thermostat has a total overall height of 1-1/2" ±1/16" (shaft height 1" ±1/16") and an operational temperature range of 200° to 525"F.

This type of thermostat has a heat-sensitive base that screws flush onto the heated surface, allowing it to sense the temperature through thermal conduction. The mounting surface needs to be smooth and flat to allow for an accurate temperature reading. The temperature is controlled via an adjustment stem which in application generally have an end-user knob attached.
There is no bonded bimetal strip - instead, contacts are opened and closed by expansion of the base plate and resulting vertical movement of a thermal spring. Along with a flush mounting to the heating surface, this ensures quick temperature response, minimal differential, and calibration stability.
Conduction type thermostats are used in many applications including hot plates, waffle irons, sandwich grills, griddles, flatirons, roasters, deep fryers, solder pots, sealing irons, casseroles, fudge cups, ovens, ironers, vulcanizers, sealing machines, and other industrial, household, and laboratory applications.
